9. Replacing the Batteries

When the batteries for the door/window contact are low, it will inform the control unit of this. The
control unit display will then show the respective error message (the window symbol flashes).
Replace the batteries in the door/window contact:
• The casing is opened by pulling down the cover.
• Remove the old batteries.
• Insert two micro-batteries (AAA) into the battery compartment. Please observe the correct
polarity.
• Close the casing cover.
• The door/window detector may go through a synchronisation period of 1 minute (the LED will
flash once every second).

10. General notes on radio operation

Radio transmission is conducted as non-exclusive transmission. Because of this, there may be
interferences. Interferences may be caused by switching operations, electric motors or defective
electric devices.
The range inside of buildings may strongly differ from the range outside. In addition to the
broadcasting performance and receiving properties of the receivers, environmental conditions such
as humidity and structural conditions on-site are important.

11. Maintenance and Cleaning

The product requires no servicing except for battery replacement. Repair or maintenance work must
be carried out by a specialist. Clean the product with a soft, clean, dry and lint-free cloth. If you have
to remove more dirt, moisten the cloth with lukewarm water.
Never use solvent-based cleaning agents, since this might damage the surface of the plastic
housing and inscription.
