2.4. Safety Instructions
Technical condition
■ Check the SATA clean RCS units for proper function and leakage be-
fore each use.
■ Never operate the SATA clean RCS units if damaged or if parts are
missing.
■ Check the SATA clean RCS units before each use and repair if necessary.
■ In case of damage to the SATA clean RCS units, immediately discontin-
ue use and disconnect from compressed air circuit.
■ Never make unauthorized alterations or technical modifications to the SATA
clean RCS units.
Cleaning media
■ Never use cleaning media containing acid, lye or gasoline.
■ Never use halogenated hydrocarbon based cleaning media.
Connected components
■ Use only genuine SATA replacement parts or accessories.
■ The connected hoses and lines must reliably withstand the expected
thermal, chemical and mechanical load requirements.
■ Disconnecting pressurized hoses can cause them to move in a whip-
like manner, resulting in injuries. Always bleed the hoses completely
before removal.
Installation site
■ When installing the SATA clean RCS units outside the spray booth and
solvent-based cleaning liquids are in use, the following is required:
■ Ex-Zone 1 with a radius of 8' 2" around the device.
■ Ex-Zone 2 with a radius of 8' 2" to 16' 5" around the device.
■ Never use SATA clean RCS units in areas near ignition sources, such
as open flames, burning cigarettes or electrical equipment that is not
explosion proof.
