(1)
Disconnect the a.c. supply and remove the top cover (see paragraph 5.1).
(2)
Screw the two locator pegs into the threaded holes in the inner face of the
right hand side member, os seen from the front of the instrument.
(3)
Place the mounting bracket against the inside of the left hand side member
with the large hole over. the carrying handle nut. Secure it to the side
member wi th two M4 screws and cri nk! e washers.
(4)
Take the battery pack, with the batteries uppermost and the connecting
lead to the left, and carefully place the holes in the right hand end over
the locator pegs.
Lower the left hand end o.nto the bracket, and secure
it with rwo M4 screws fitted with both plain and crinkle washers.
The
crinkle washers should be immediately below the screw heads.

Plug the connecting lead onto pins 4B to 51 on the main p.e.b. just to
the right of the power transformer. The ~ins are polarized to prevent
j
ncorreet connection.
(6)
Replace the top cover.
Se.t the rear panel switcn to CHARGE, connect
the instrument to suitable a.c. supplies and set ,the POWER switch to ON.
