Adjusting the Gage Wheels

The gage wheels need to be adjusted in the proper hole
location for each height-of-cut position. There needs to be
3/8 inch (10 mm) minimum clearance above the ground.
1. After adjusting height-of-cut, check the gage wheels so
that there is a minimum of 3/8 inch (10 mm) clearance
above the ground (Figures 23 and 24).
2. If adjustment is needed, remove the bolt, washer(s)
and nut (Figures 23 and 24).
3. Select a hole position so the gage wheels are a
minimum of 3/8 inch (10 mm) off the ground
(Figures 23 and 24).
4. Install the bolt, washer(s) and nut (Figures 23 and 24).
