WARNING!
❐ Danger of damage to hearing! A high volume which impinges on your ears for a
lengthy period of time can cause permanent hearing damage. Set a low volume be-
fore you put on the sound amplifi er. Then set a level of sound amplifi cation that you
fi nd pleasant.
❐ Interference from magnetic fi elds! The sound amplifi er generates magnetic fi elds.
They may interfere with pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defi brillators
(ICDs). Always maintain a distance of at least 10 cm between these devices and the
earphones.
1. Turn the volume control to a low volume.
2. Slide the On/Off switch to the ON position.
3. Put the sound amplifi er on in such a way that the microphone is directed away from
you. Make sure that the ear cushions fi t well in your auditory canals and do not press
too hard or sit too loosely. Either would reduce your ability to hear. Change the ear
cushions if necessary (see the "Attaching the Ear Cushions" chapter).
4. Use the volume control to set a level of sound amplifi cation that is suffi cient and
pleasant for you.
If you hear an excessively loud background noise (feedback), reduce the vol-
ume until the noise disappears.
5. Switch off the noise amplifi er after use (move the On/Off switch to the OFF position)
and place it in the stand supplied with the device.
6. Clean the ear cushions regularly (see the "Cleaning" chapter).

Cleaning

CAUTION!
❐ Liquid may destroy the device! Keep the sound amplifi er away from water or other
liquids. Only the ear cushions may be cleaned with water. However, they must be
completely dry before they are attached to the device.
❐ The ear cushions are neither machine-washable, dishwasher-safe nor suitable for
tumble drying! Only ever dry the ear cushions in the air, and never use a hair dryer
to do so.
❐ Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the de-
vice and accessories.
❐ However, if the ear cushions are damaged or worn, they must be replaced. You can
order new ear cushions from www.service-shopping.de.
• Switch off the device before cleaning it.
• Carefully remove the ear cushions from the earphones. Clean the ear cushions with
warm soapy water and then rinse them thoroughly with clear water. Dry the ear cush-
ions in the air.
