❐ Take the battery out of the battery compartment when it is dead or if you will not be
using the device for a prolonged period. This will prevent any damage that might oc-
cur if a battery leaks.
❐ If the battery has leaked, do not allow battery acid to come into contact with your skin,
eyes, or mucous membranes. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites with
abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as possible.
❐ Remove a dead battery from the battery compartment immediately and clean the
contacts before you insert a new battery.
❐ The batteries must not be recharged or reactivated by other means, must not be
dismantled, thrown into a fi re, immersed in fl uids or short-circuited.
Proper Use
❐ Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, wide temperature fl uctuations,
open fi re, direct sunlight, moisture or wet conditions.
❐ Treat the device with care and store it in a clean location that is free of dust.
❐ Switch the device off after you have fi nished using it to conserve the battery.
❐ Do not use the device when bathing or showering. Do not immerse it in water or other
liquids.
❐ Always check the device and accessories for damage before putting them into opera-
tion. Do not use the device if it shows obvious signs of damage. Do not try to repair
the device yourself or to replace any individual parts. In the event of any damage,
contact our customer service department.
❐ In the event of damage/faults, switch the device off immediately.
❐ Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
