    6. Make sure that the batteries you are using are still adequate to operate the device. The device requires 3 volt CR2 batteries, easily available from PetSafe ® 7. The microphone is calibrated so it won’t be activated by nearby sounds. However, the barking of another dog at close range could cause the device to spray.
