Product Usage
The device allows operating from
Z-Wave capable remote controls or
mobile devices using a standard
central Z-Wave controller. For back-
ward compatibility 'Basic Command
Class' is supported and mapped
to Door Open (0xff) and Door Close
(0x00) function.
Reset to factory default
This device also allows to be reset
without any involvement of a
Z-Wave controller. Important note:
this procedure should only be used
when the primary controller is
inoperable.
Push the two arrow buttons for 3
seconds until the left LED lights up
green. Then push the down arrow
until the left LED lights up red. Press
the „Close" key to open the menu
item. Now press „arrow down"
again until both LEDs on the drive
light up red. Push the Enter-button
for 3 seconds until both LEDs are
flashing. Then push the Enter-but-
ton again for 3 seconds to confirm
the reset to factory default. After
that, all settings are deleted. After
a factory reset, the drive (road and
motor drive) must be taught-in
again before the drive can be integ-
rated into the Z-Wave system again.
The device sends the following noti-
fications to the central controller:
• Manual Lock and Unlock operation
(0x06 - 0x01/0x02)
• RF Lock and Unlock Operation
(0x06 - 0x03/0x03)
• Lock Jammed (0x06 - 0x0B)

country-specific installation guide-
lines / standards. Before installing
the product, switch off the power
supply and secure it against being
switched on again.
What is SmartStart?
SmartStart enabled products can be
added into a Z-Wave
network by scanning the Z-Wave QR
Code present on the product with
a controller providing SmartStart
inclusion. No further action is requi-
red and the SmartStart product will
be added automatically within 10
minutes of being switched on in the
network vicinity.
Firmware Update
It is possible to update the Z-Wave
Controller in the actuator. Check
with the manufacturer of your
primary Z-Wave controller for the
procedure.
Basic process:
1. Start the update process in the
primary Z-Wave controller.
2. Both LEDs on the drive light up
yellow.
3. Press the „Close" button for 3
seconds to confirm or the „Open"
button to cancel.
4. After confirmation, both LEDs
flash yellow and the process
starts.
5. When the update process is
completed, both LEDs light up for
5 seconds.
green = successful or
red = not successful and an
acknowledgement signal sounds.
