    Getting Started We know you’re keen to get started with BT Mobile Broadband, so please follow these steps in the exact order shown below. Step 1: Insert the SIM into your USB Modem To get started, you need to insert your SIM card into the USB Modem. You’ll find your SIM card in a small white envelope inside the outer packaging.
  • Page 6 i. Insert the USB Modem into a USB port on your laptop. If necessary, use the enclosed USB cable to connect in confined spaces. ii. Follow the on-screen instructions. It may take between 30 – 60 seconds for your computer to find the USB Modem and install the drivers.

    Connect using the BT Mobile network 1. Make sure you’re in an area which has a mobile signal. 2. Double click the BT Connection Manager icon. When the dashboard appears click; the USB modem icon and select BT Mobile (PC users) or Connect (Mac users).
  • Page 9 IMPORTANT: During the registration process, you’ll be asked to enter your mobile number. This is the mobile number for the SIM card which you inserted into the USB Modem. This number is shown on a sticker on the back of the USB Modem pack and on your BT Welcome Letter. Please don’t enter your normal mobile phone number here.
