Safety information

• Warning! None of the packaging materials
and attachments are part of the product
itself, and must always be removed for safety
reasons before the product is used.
• Check the product for damage or wear
before each use. The product should only be
used if it is in perfect condition!
• No modifications may be made to the product.
• LEDs are not replaceable.
Warning statements for the inte-
grated storage battery
• Never charge the storage battery immediately
after use. Always allow the storage battery to
cool down first (at least 5-10 minutes).
• Only use the included USB charging cable to
charge the storage battery.
• As the storage battery heats up during the
charging process it is necessary to ensure
sufficient ventilation. Never cover the product!
• If electrolyte solution leaks from the storage
battery or the product then avoid contact with
your eyes, mucous membranes, or skin. Rinse
the affected areas immediately with plenty of
clear water and consult a doctor. The electro-
lyte solution can cause irritation.
• Disconnect the product from the charging
cable if it is fully charged.
• The product may only be charged in dry,
enclosed indoor areas. Never charge and
store the product in the vicinity of large heat
sources or open fire as this could cause the
storage battery to explode.
• If the storage battery catches fire during the
charging process then do not extinguish it with
water but rather with dry sand, for example.
• Do not leave the product unsupervised during
the charging process and look out for any
signs of overheating.
• Only charge the storage battery in ambient
temperatures of 5–35 °C.
• The charging contacts on the device may not
be connected using metal objects.
• If the product has been subjected to a strong
blow then store it in a safe place for the next
30 minutes (e.g. in a metal box).
• Never attempt to manipulate, modify, or
repair a storage battery or the product.
• When the storage battery reaches the end
of its useful life the storage battery must be
removed and the product must be disposed
of. Do not try to replace the storage battery.
• The storage battery that has been removed for
disposal must not be re-used or dismantled.
Danger!
Observe the corresponding section on removal
of the storage battery. The storage battery could
be damaged and you could seriously injure
yourself while removing it:
• Be sure not to damage the storage battery
during its removal.
• Do not dismantle the storage battery after
removal.
• The storage battery may not be thrown into
the fire or short-circuited after removal. The
storage battery could overheat and explode.
Charging the battery (Fig. D)
1. Remove the battery (2d) from its holder (1e).
2. Connect the micro-USB plug (2b) on the USB
cable (2) to the connector (2c) on the battery.
3. Plug the USB plug (2a) of the USB cable
into a USB port on a powered-on computer
or charging station with a USB port. The
charging process is indicated by a red LED.
Putting on the product
1. Direct the dog's back legs through the loops
(1d) (Fig. C).
2. Pull the belly strap (1c) around the dog's belly
and secure it with the Velcro (Fig. A).
3. Secure the neck strap (1a) with the Velcro.
Turning the light on and off
The LED dog jacket can be lit up by pressing a
button. To do so press the on/off button (1b).
You have three different light modes to choose
from:
Press 1 x: light flashes quickly.
Press 2 x: light flashes slowly.
Press 3 x: light shines continuously.
Press 4 x to turn the light off.
Storage, cleaning
When not in use, always store the product clean
and dry at room temperature.
Only clean the product with a damp cloth and
wipe dry afterwards.
The product must be disinfected if the animal
gets sick or after an illness.
You should consult a veterinarian you trust and
ask for a suitable cleaner and disinfectant.
IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with
harsh cleaning agents.
Disposal
In the interest of protecting the environ-
ment, do not throw your product into the
household waste once you are finished
with it, but rather take it to a specialty
disposal facility. Find out about collection sites
and their hours of operation from your local
authority. Defective or used batteries must be
recycled pursuant to Directive 2006/66/EC
and changes to it. Return batteries and/or the
product via the collecting sites provided.
Packaging materials, such as plastic bags, must
be kept away from children. Keep the packag-
ing materials out of reach of children.
Environmental damage caused by
improper disposal of batteries! Batteries
may not be disposed of with household
waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and
are subject to hazardous waste treatment. The
chemical symbols of the heavy metals are as
follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb =
lead. Dispose of used batteries at a municipal
collection site.
Dispose of the product and packaging in
an environmentally friendly manner.
Note the label on the packaging materials
when separating waste, as these are
labelled with abbreviations (a) and
numbers (b) with the following meaning: 1–7:
plastics/20–22: paper and cardboard/80–98:
composite materials.
