Octavia 1997 1.6 l/75 kW Engine, Fuel Injection and Ignition System
–
Switch off ignition.
–
Check fuse -3- for the vacuum pump.
If fuse is o.k.:
–
Check voltage supply.
The LED does not flash:
–
Test wiring.
Check supply voltage
–
Connect multimeter for voltage measurement (termi-
nal 30) to contacts 1 and 5.
Specified value: approx. battery voltage
–
Connect multimeter for voltage measurement (termi-
nal 15) to contacts 1 and 3.
–
Switch on ignition.
Specified value: approx. battery voltage
If the specified values are reached:
Replace brake vacuum pump -V192- µ Chassis;

Rep. Gr. 47.
If the specified values are not reached:
Test wiring µ Current Flow Diagrams, Electrical Fault
–
Finding and Fitting Locations.
