If the film leader does not
thread
into
the projector,
stop the projector, release
the Film
Threading Lever to
its original
position, open
the film
gate by opening the
Lens
Housing, (See Picture
A), and
pull the film leader
out of
the threading channel
(See picture
B).
Be
sure
to remove any dam-
aged
or
wrinkled film leader
that has caused the mal-
function. Check the Format
Selector Lever for proper
position, (See picture C), re-
trim the end of the film
leader,
and proceed to re-
thread (See picture D).
To open Lens Housing, sim-
ply pull outward on the edge
of
the
Lens Housing until it
swings
away from the
projector.

if film stops
during the show
If for some reason your film
stops
during your show, first
try
this simple remedy. Turn
off
the projector lamp and
open
the Lower Film Guide
by
pulling it outward and
away
from the projector.
Then
grasp the film now ac-
cessible
with the Lower Film
Guide
open, and pull it slowly
outward.
(See picture 1).
This
procedure will probably
restart
the normal flow of
your
film. If it doesn't, move
the
Direction Lever to the
"Center"
position, open the
film.
gate, and rotate the
take-up reel with your finger
on the film, to pass the bad
section of film through the
film channel. (See picture 2).
Then close the film gate,
turn the Single Frame Ad-
vance Knob to check for
proper threading, and pro-
ceedtooperatethe projector
in
the normal manner.
When your show is over, check your film for the damage or splice that caused
the
stoppage.

splicing
errors like
