5.0 Troubleshooting

5.1 Water Is Leaking

1. Ensure that the cup stand is dry. If not,
remove tray and drain residual water.
2. Ensure gray bracket is closed fully and secured
in place. (See section 3.2, step 5)
3. Ensure upper cartridge and foam ring
are properly aligned and fully sealed.
(See section 3.2, step 4)
4. Ensure the upper to lower cartridge connector
is assembled correctly and fully seated.
(See section 3.3, step 3)
5. Ensure that the rubber dispense tubes are sitting
properly inside the nozzle and being pinched by
the gray bracket. If any debris is observed, wipe
the area with a clean cloth to remove.
6. If the AquaEase™ cartridge was recently
changed, water may have spilled during handling
of the old cartridge. Condensation from the
cold reservoir may also accumulate during the
change. Monitor the cooler for 2 hours to see if
the leak stops.
7. If the issue cannot be identified, unplug unit,
remove water bottle and call customer support
for assistance.
5.2 No Water Is Dispensing/
Poor Flow Rate
1. Ensure there is water in the water bottle.
If not, replace. (See section 4.1)
2. Ensure the unit has power.
(See section 3.4, step 2)
3. If dispensing hot water, ensure child safety lever
on the hot dispenser is lifted to disengage.
16
4. Ensure the lower cartridge is fully seated
and sealed. (See section 4.1, step 5)
5. Ensure the clamping lever is locked in the
down position. (See section 4.1, step 5)
6. Ensure the air connector is tightly connected.
(See section 4.1, step 6)
7. While dispensing, ensure the lever is pressed
all the way down to engage the air pump and
dispense LED light. The air pump must turn
on with every dispense to maintain system
pressure and dispense water.
8. Ensure the dispenser was primed after
the bottle and AquaEase™ water cartridge were
installed. If the dispenser was depressurized
for any reason, it will need to be re-primed.
(See section 3.5)
5.3 Dispense Flow
Is Choppy Or Contains Air
1. After a bottle change or AquaEase™ water
cartridge change, air bubbles may be present in
the first few dispenses. This is normal.
2. Ensure the upper to lower cartridge connector
is assembled correctly and fully seated.
(See section 3.3, step 3)
3. Ensure upper cartridge is properly aligned
and fully sealed. (See section 3.2, step 3)
4. Ensure that the rubber dispense tubes are sitting
properly inside the nozzle and being pinched by
the gray bracket. If any debris is observed, wipe
the area with a clean cloth to remove.
5. If the dispense stream still contains air after
several cups are dispensed, the AquaEase™
water cartridge may be damaged. Call customer
support for assistance.

5.4 Cold Water Is Not Cold

1. It takes up to one hour after setup to chill
the water.
2. Ensure the unit has power.
3. Ensure the unit is at least 4 inches from
any wall.
4. If more than 1.5 liters (50 fl. ounces) of cold
water was consecutively dispensed, the majority
of the cold reservoir was depleted. Allow the
dispenser 45 minutes of non-use to fully chill
the water.
5. If dispenser was recently tilted more than
45 degrees, unplug dispenser for 24 hours
before powering on.

5.5 Hot Water Is Not Hot

1. It takes up to 30 minutes after setup to heat
the water.
2. Ensure the unit has power.
3. Ensure the hot tank switch is turned on.
(See section 3.6)
4. If more than 1liter (34 fl. ounces) of hot water
was consecutively dispensed, the majority of the
hot reservoir was depleted. Allow the dispenser
45 minutes of non-use to fully heat the water.

5.6 Dispenser Is Noisy

1. Ensure the unit is level and not on an
uneven surface.
2. Ensure that the front door and top lid are
properly closed. Partial closures may produce
rattling noises.
3. Ensure that the plastic cups are properly
positioned inside the cup dispenser
(if applicable).
4. During priming, the dispense LED will flash
and the air pump will run continuously for
2 minutes. As air is purged from the system,
you may hear whistling in addition to the
running pump. This is normal.
5.7 Red Notification LED
Is Not Functioning Properly
1. In order for the LED to function properly, a new
5-gallon bottle must be used for every bottle
change and cartridge change. If a partially filled
bottle was used, the LED will regain functionality
on the next new/full bottle change.
2. The Bottle Change Indicator light is dependent
on customer usage. Small variations on when
the light illuminates is normal.
3. If the cooler is left unpowered for extended
periods of time, the notification timers may
reset themselves. The notification LED will
return to its proper function on the next bottle
or cartridge change.
