The provided context does not confirm whether the La Crosse Technology 724-1415BL Monitor is defective if it is not responding to input. However, you can try troubleshooting by checking the owner's manual for a "Search for Sensor" option, enabling a search, and pressing the TX button on the sensor. If interference is suspected, you can try relocating the device, increasing separation from other electronics, or using a different power outlet. If the issue persists, consulting technical support may be necessary.

I have done the set up to replace my sensor. The sensor came on (light) and is now blinking about every 45-60 seconds.
The main unit is not responding for the time it is clicking off minutes (presently at 12:14) the remote monitor is blank.
The indoor indicates at temp of 76.3 F. The total display is very dim, it came on bright then it change to dim after about 60 seconds.
How do I check to the to make sure it is working and not defective?
Unit model is 588907. The new sensor is model TX141TH-BV3
