Connecting the speakers and the subwoofer

7 Basic speaker connection
The supplied center surround speaker reproduces the sound of center channel, surround right channel and surround left
channel by one speaker.

7 Optional speaker connection
You can connect separately purchased speakers to this unit as the center, surround right and surround left speaker. With
using optional speakers, you can use some optional function through this system.
• Leave the supplied front speakers and subwoofer connected as illustration above.
• When you connect the optional speakers, place the speakers as speaker layout
position mode to "S. SPK R" (see page 15).
Center speaker
(separately purchased)
• The supplied center surround speaker can be used as the center speaker. When you connect the supplied center
surround speaker as the center speaker, connect only the CENTER speaker cord to the CENTER speaker terminal of
the unit.
About Icon
In this manual, indicates that the function is available only when you connect the optional speakers and set the
speaker position mode to "S. SPK R".

Twist and pull the
insulation coat off.
Speaker cord
• Connect the black cords to the black
(–) terminals.
• Connect the gray cords to the red
(+) terminals.
