6 Route the cable so it doesn't overhang, and can't be tripped over
or caught.
7 Don't open the lid while the water is heating.
8 Pour slowly, and don't over-tilt the kettle.
9 Don't switch on unless the kettle contains at least 2 cups of water.
10 Don't fill past the max mark, or it may spit boiling water.
11 Remove the kettle from its stand before filling or pouring.
12 Unplug the stand when not in use, before moving and before
cleaning.
13 Let the kettle cool down before cleaning and storing away.
14 Check the lid is fully closed before switching the kettle on, or it
may not switch off.
15 Keep the kettle, stand, cable, and plug away from sources of heat.
16 Don't use the kettle for any purpose other than heating water.
17 Use the kettle only with the stand supplied (and vice versa).
18 Don't use the kettle if it's damaged or malfunctions.
19 If the cable is damaged, return the kettle, to avoid hazard.
U BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
• Fill to max, boil, discard the water, then rinse. Do this 3 times, to
remove manufacturing dust, etc.
C POSITIONING
1 Put the stand on a stable, level surface.
2 Route the cable so it doesn't overhang, and can't be tripped over
or caught.
3 Wind excess cable beneath the stand.
C FILLING
4 Remove the kettle from the stand.
5 Press the lid lock to open the lid.
6 Fill with at least 2 cups of water, but don't fill above max.
7 If you overfill, the kettle may spit boiling water.
8 Close the lid, and press it down, to lock it closed.
9 Check the lid is closed, or the kettle won't switch off when it boils.
