- Page 4 6 Route the cable so it doesn’t overhang, and can’t be tripped over or caught. 7 Don’t open the lid while the water is heating. 8 Pour slowly, and don’t over-tilt the kettle. 9 Don’t switch on unless the kettle contains at least 2 cups of water. 10 Don’t fill past the max mark, or it may spit boiling water.
- Page 5 C SWITCHING ON 10 Put the kettle on the stand – take care not to spill. 11 Plug the stand into a power socket (switch the socket on, if it’s switchable). 12 Move the switch to 1 – the light will glow, and the kettle will heat C SWITCHING OFF 13 When the water boils, the kettle will switch itself off, and the light will go out.
- Page 6 C CARE AND MAINTENANCE 1 Check that the kettle is switched off – move the switch to 0, or lift it off the stand. 2 Unplug the stand (switch the socket off first, if it’s switchable), and let the kettle cool down fully. 3 Wipe the kettle, inside and out, with a damp cloth.
