The message "Searching for machines" appears on the app and the smart
device cannot be connect to the embroidery machine.

Check the following in order.

The embroidery machine does not start sewing when I replaced the color
thread and pressed the START/STOP button.

Make sure the presser foot lifter is raised when replacing the thread. Lower the
presser foot lifter after replacing the thread.
Make sure the mark on the handwheel is at its highest position.
Make sure the bobbin winder spindle is shifted to the left.
