Service Manual
Removal:
1. Remove the free-arm extension table, all the covers, the cam controlled feed follower,
the cam controlled feed mechanism and the stitch width bracket assembly.
2. Remove driving arm slide screw (H), driving arm slide (G), retaining ring (F), retaining
ring ( I ), washer (J) and connecting link screw (N).
3. Remove slide bracket (E).
4. Move pattern selection lever (M) to the right and remove pattern selection assembly
mounting screws (K) and (O).
5. Move pattern selection lever (M) all the way to the left and loosen disenganging lever
plate adjusting screw (Q) and move disengaging lever to the left.
6. Remove pattern selctor assembly mounting screw (P).
7. Remove pattern selection assembly (L).
Note:
When removing the pattern selection assembly be careful not to lose positinoning pin (S)
and spring (R) as the pin may pop out by decompression of spring (R).
Replacement:
1. Replacement is the same as removal in a reverse order.
Note:
Be sure spring (R) and positioning pin (S) are in place before replacing the pattern
selection assembly. Also, that the buttonhole lever link is positioned above the needle
position lever bracket link.
2. Adjust needle follower clearance.
3. Check left-to-right needle location and adjust if necessary.
4. Adjust buttonhole needle position lever alignment and buttonhole cutting space.
