Common causes of bobbin knotting issues in a Singer sewing machine with part number 2732 include:
1. Incorrect Threading: If the upper thread or bobbin is not threaded properly, it can cause knots or tangles. Ensure both are threaded according to the machine’s instructions.
2. Improper Bobbin Placement: The bobbin must be inserted with the thread unwinding in the correct direction and seated properly in the bobbin case.
3. Tension Problems: Incorrect upper thread tension or bobbin tension can lead to loose threads and knotting. Check and adjust tension settings as needed.
4. Lint or Debris: Accumulated lint or thread pieces in the bobbin area can interfere with smooth thread movement. Regularly clean the bobbin case and surrounding area.
5. Damaged Needle: A bent or dull needle can cause erratic stitching and thread jams. Replace the needle if it is not in good condition.
6. Wrong Bobbin Type: Using the wrong size or type of bobbin may cause thread jams. Use only compatible bobbins recommended for the model 2732.
7. Thread Quality: Low-quality or old thread can break or tangle easily. Use good-quality thread appropriate for the fabric.
By checking and correcting these factors, most bobbin knotting issues can be resolved.
