Adjusting the Earpiece Volume
If you have difficulty hearing your correspondent
during a telephone conversation, you can adjust
the volume as required.
During a

Increase the volume
Decrease the volume
The volume level that you
defined remains set even when
you switch your phone off.
To change the volume when the phone is in
Standby mode, proceed as follows.
1 Enter the menu system, as follows.

Switching the Microphone Off

During a telephone conversation, you can tempo -
rarily switch off the microphone on your phone.
E x a m p l e: You wish to talk to someone else in the
room without your correspondent hearing.
1 Press
for a while during a
telephone conversation.
Result: M u t e and the time spent
in the mute mode are
displayed (if the Call
Timer option is on; see
page 58).
Your correspondent can no
longer hear you, but you can
hear your correspondent.
2 Press
for a while again when
you wish to resume the conver-
sation with your correspondent.
Result: The M u t e message
disappears.

Displaying Your Own Telephone Number

The availability of this service depends on your
SIM card.
Press:

Result: Your own telephone number
is displayed.
You can only display your own
telephone number when the
phone is not engaged.
