Lifting and Transporting

2-9. The unit is equipped with lifting eye (A)
and forklift pockets (B) for lifting the unit on and off a
transporting vehicle.
Lifting the Unit
NOTE: Remain aware of people and objects around the
unit while preparing, maneuvering, and lifting the unit.
1. Verify the equipment being used to lift the unit is in
good condition and has sufficient capacity. For
approximate weights, see Specifications.
2. Verify the mast is completely lowered.
3. Verify outriggers and jacks are fully retracted.
4. Close and lock access doors and control panel.

methods:
•
Attach slings, chains, or hooks directly to central lift
point (A). Verify the LED fixtures will not be
damaged when lifting.
•
Use a forklift. Approach forklift pockets (B) with
care. Avoid approaching the unit at an angle, as
this can permanently damage the forklift pockets,
tires, or cabinet. Verify any obstructions are clear
of the forklift tines before lifting.

Tying the Unit Down
When securing the unit for transportation, verify the
equipment being used to fasten the unit is in good
condition and has sufficient strength to hold the unit in
place during transport.
