The following tables indicate the meaning of the LEDs
on the BAT 250.
LED 1 and 2:
Information on the charging process for the internal
battery:.
Pos. LED Color Meaning
1 yellow Internal battery is charging
2 green Charging complete or charge conservation
LED � to �:
Information on the charge status of the internal battery.
The charge status of the internal battery is displayed for
10 seconds after start-up
Pos. LED Color Meaning
3 green Internal battery charged
4 yellow Internal battery available for starting, but
charging required
5 red Internal battery unavailable for starting.
Please charge
LED 6 to 8:
Information on the terminal pliers connection at activa-
tion, and information on start assist mode..
Pos. LED Color Meaning
6 green BAT 250 ready
yellow BAT 250 back-up mode
6 yellow Internal battery faulty.
7 flashes Notify Service!
red flashes
7 red Alarm indicator, polarity reversed
7 red Vehicle with defective battery or no bat-
8 yellow tery or no contact with battery
7 rot flashes Overload (Short-circuit battery or short-
8 yellow circuit terminal pliers)

Initial start-up

Stick one of the five adhesive labels supplied (in your
chosen language) to the designated space on top of the
unit (see Fig. 2, Pos. 1).
