C-1 Remove and Install the Carrier to Base
To Remove Carrier from
Base
From the back of the
carrier, slide the base
release handle up the back
of the carrier and lift the
carrier out of the base.
To Attach Child Restraint
to Base
Align the pins on the side of
child restraint with the slots
on the back of the base.
Push down firmly on the
carrying handle and the front
of the child restraint to lock
child restraint to base. You
will hear a "click" when it is
locked.
Pull up on child restraint's
carrying handle and front to
make sure the front of the child restraint is locked to the base.
NOTE:
The back of the child restraint can be lifted slightly
off the base, but the child restraint remains securely locked
to the front of the base. The seat is designed this way for
safety reasons. The child restraint can only be completely
removed from the base by sliding the base release handle
up and lifting the child restraint out of the base.
The carrying handle can be in any position when installed in the
vehicle.
Failure to securely attach carrier to base can
result in serious injury or death.

C-2 Reclining the Base (on select models)
Depending on your model, the base may have a recline foot.
Follow the directions below if your model has the recline
foot.
1.
Pull Recline Foot Out
From the bottom of the
base, rotate the recline
foot out from under the
base.
Lock Recline Foot Into

Place
With foot all the way out,
push down on the inside
of the recline foot to lock
the recline foot into place.
You will hear a "click"
when it is locked.
3.
Unlock Recline Foot
Push the recline foot lock
away from the recline foot
and lower recline foot.
