WARNINGS FOR REPLACING
THE
BATTERIES
DISPOSAL OF USED BATTERIES
1. Always use new batteries of the
type and specifications indicated in
this manual: do not use old batteries
together with new batteries or with
batteries of different types.
2. Do not use rechargeable batteries,
as these may be of inferior quality
and duration. The use of rechargea-
ble batteries could compromise the
device's performance.
3. Dispose of the used batteries
promptly, keeping them out of the
reach of children and away from any
heat sources.
4. For environmental protection pur-
poses, the used batteries must be
disposed of at appropriate collection
sites and in compliance with the cur-
rent local or national laws, policies
and/or regulations. The batteries
utilized comply with the European

Clean with a swab soaked in alcohol. Never clean the
lens directly with water.

THERMOMETER

Clean the thermometer with a soft dry cloth. Do not
use abrasive products or solvents. Take care to avoid
scratching the lens or the display. Do not expose the
thermometer to direct sunlight, jolts and/or extreme
temperature or humidity levels.

5. The batteries must be kept strictly
out of the reach of children, as their
ingestion could result in poisoning
and/or other serious health risks.

batteries whenever the device is not

7. The device does not have a shelf life
and has a typical service life of three
years. The batteries used inside the
device, however, have a shelf life of
6 months (half a year): electrolyte
leakage could take place once the
batteries' shelf life has expired. The
batteries must be replaced once
their foreseen service life has been
reached (1000 measurements). If
in doubt, or to request clarifications,
