10. Installing the USER INTERFACE
controlR comes with a provided mounting solution in the form
of a two ball design and a cnc machined aluminium base.
The base of the mount is to be secured to the predecided
mounting location with the provided screws.
NOTE - Before drilling any holes please make sure that you
are not going to be drilling through any wires or components
on the other side of the mounting area.
Once the mounting is securely in place the wing nut on the
mounting can be loosened by hand and the M6 stud from the
mounting unit can be treaded to the USER INTERFACE. A
temporary tread locker can be used on this M6 stud. After the
USER INTERFACE is mounted on the mount it can be
angled to be perpendicular to the line of sight and the wing
nut tightened by hand. Pliers can be used to tighten the wing
nut by using a thick cloth between the pliers and the wing nut
to avoid any damage to it.
11. Connect the provided black cable with the ring terminal to the
negative battery terminal and route it to the HUB. Cut the wire
to the required length, splice the wire to expose the strands
and connect it to the screw terminal marked as INPUT, BATT
- on the HUB.
12. Once all wiring and mounting has been completed the
negative terminal of the battery can be connected.
NOTE – Before connecting back the negative terminal
please make sure to remove the key from your vehicle as
some vehicles with central locking may lock when powered
up.
