Figure 21. Drill two holes near the second preamp tube: hole 1 right next to the tube socket connections to pins 4 and 5 (Figures 23 and 24);
the location is not particularly critical. Drill hole 2 just above the tube socket solder connections of pin 9, but make sure not to
accidentally drill through the wire bridge (Figure 22)! Also, interrupt the indicated circuit board traces (the trace near hole 2 can be
interrupted when drilling the hole), because the heater traces spread hum throughout the circuit in their stock layout.
