Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the LINDY USB 2.0 Cat.5 Extender for 2 PCs. This extender is
composed of a transmitting unit with 3 USB ports and a receiving unit with 7 USB ports and
enables two USB host devices to send data up to 100 metres.

Features

• This USB 2.0 Cat.5 Extender can be shared by two PCs

Installation

1.
Place the local extender near the computer(s). Install the supplied USB cable between the
local extender and USB port on the host computer(s).
to connect the local extender unit to the host computer.
2.
Connect the supplied 5VDC 2A power adapter to the local unit.
3.
Place the remote extender near the USB device(s) in the desired remote location.
4.
Connect the supplied 5VDC 3.5A power adapter to the remote unit.
5.
Connect the local to the remote extender by using a Cat.5 (or better) cable (not
included!).
To switch between the two PCs, please push the button on the transmitter and wait about 5
seconds.
LED indications
• Power LED on transmitter: power supply is on; on receiver: lights only when PC is on
• Active: USB device is connected
• Link: transmitter and receiver are connected by Cat.5 (or higher) cable
• USB ports on transmitter/receiver: respective LED lights when device is connected
• PC1/PC2: shows which PC is active
USB Type B connectors are used
