ERGONOMIC RECOMMENDATIONS
ERGO COMFORT accessories
improve user comfort during vacuuming.
To prevent bending over and to ensure upright
posture, make sure to:
1. Adjust the length of the ERGO COMFORT
telescopic metal tube to your bodily proportions
(fig.5).
2. Place your second hand in front of the ERGO
COMFORT handle (fig.6).
Fit the corresponding accessory to the end of the telescopic
metal tube or the handle:
- For rugs and carpets: use the multi-surface nozzle in the
retracted brush position or the Turbobrush* (fibres and
animal hairs).
- For smooth surfaces with crevices (such as tiled floors): use
the all-surface nozzle (20*) with the brush extended or, for
better results, use the smooth surface nozzle* (21B.a*)
without the removable brush.
- For fragile surfaces, such as parquet, it is recommended to
use the standard parquet nozzle (21A*) or the nozzle with line
of bristles (21B.b*).
N.B.: The nozzle for smooth surfaces with crevices
21B.a* is used to measure performance associated
with the energy label. This nozzle allows you to
optimise the dust-collection performance of your
appliance on smooth surfaces with crevices.
- For corners and hidden spots: use the crevice nozzle*.
- For upholstery and delicate surfaces: use the upholstery
brush or nozzle*.
IMPORTANT: Never use the vacuum cleaner without a
bag or without a filtration system in place (cassette).
WARNING: always switch off and disconnect your
vacuum cleaner before changing any accessories.
* According to model - These parts are specific to certain
models or they are accessories that can be purchased se-
parately.
2 • Plugging in the power cord and
switching on the appliance
Unwind the power cord completely, plug in your vacuum
cleaner and press the ON/OFF pedal (fig. 7).
Note: you can use your vacuum cleaner in the horizontal
position (sleigh) but also in vertical position, especially when
vacuuming stairs or curtains.
Adjust the vacuuming power:
⇨ with the electronic power control switch (fig.8):
• Position
(MIN) for vacuuming delicate fabrics
(curtains, textiles).
• Position
(Medium) for daily vacuuming of all types of
surfaces that are not very dirty.
• Position
(MAX) for vacuuming hard floors, rugs and
carpets in the case they are very dirty.
⇨ with the mechanical power control of the handle. open the
regulation shutter slider to manually decrease the vacuuming
power and thus keep the nozzle from getting stuck to the
surface being vacuumed (fig.9) ex: sheer curtains, fragile
surfaces...
3 • Storing and transporting the
appliance
After use, switch off your vacuum cleaner by pressing the
ON/OFF pedal and unplug it (fig. 10). Rewind the power cord
by pressing the power cord rewind pedal (fig. 11).
In vertical position, place the nozzle in the parking position
(fig.12).
Thus you will be able to transport and store your vacuum
cleaner in the parking position (fig.13).
