Quick reference 1 Switching on/off with the ON button: Press ON. The unit will play at the preset volume. If the unit is switched off, a double beep tone will remind you that you should remove the detachable face before leaving your vehicle. Note: Read the information in the section on “Theft protection system”. - Page 5 Extra function AUD Loudness - When the system is played at a low volume level, the Loudness function creates a more natural sound by boosting the low frequency range. Loudness on/off: Press AUD for ap- proximately 1 sec. “LD” lights up in the display, if the Loudness function is switched on.

AF - Alternative frequency during RDS operation: If “AF” lights up in the display, the system will automatically seek a fre- quency offering better reception for the same RDS programme.
- Page 8 Remote control (optional) - Audio mute You can instantly turn down the vol- ume by pressing briefly. “MUTE” will appear. The volume will be set to “VOL 0”. The function is cancelled by pressing or +. If - is pressed, the mute volume will be adopted.

Release preset buttons 1 and 4. • Enter the code number given in the Blaupunkt car radio pass and confirm your entry as described in “Restart ...” Now the security coding system is active. The display will briefly show “CODE” each time the set is turned on. -

Receiving traffic programme stations with RDS-EON The abbreviation “EON” stands for En- hanced Other Networks, meaning the ex- change of information within a radio network. Many FM broadcasters offer traffic messag- es for their service area at regular intervals. All traffic programme stations transmit a special carrier signal along with their pro- grammes, which is decoded by your car ra- dio. -

DSC programming DSC (Direct Software Control) allows you to customise certain programmable, basic settings to suit your personal needs and preferences and then store them. The basic settings for this audio equipment were made at the factory. In the following you can find an overview of these settings, so that you can always reset to these if desired. -
