Steel jumpers shunt terminals 1-2-3 so that the module is configured for four com-
mon ground outputs. If the jumpers are removed, a configuration with two common
grounds, one separated ground and one full SPDT (Single pole, Double Throw)
can be set up. On outputs with only one output terminal, NO is the default mode
and NC operations can be selected by modifying the internal soldering jumpers in-
side the unit (see Fig. 16).
Three dip-switches, located on the front panel of the DF8020 (refer to Fig. 15), are
used to set the module's I
2
from 0 to 7, the valid I
C address can range from 0 to 2 (single unit) or 0 to 5 (dou-
ble unit). Refer to Annex B on page 36 for a complete list of the valid DF8000 con-
figurations.
Furthermore, 8 LEDs, also on the same front-panel, indicate the physical state of
the individual outputs: the LED is ON when the relay is energised. These devices
can be disabled from the CPU module to reduce power requirements (see sections
4.1 and 10.4).
