figurations . Units are identified on the RS485 bus by a unique address ranging
from 0 to 15. A double unit will allocate two consecutive addresses.
Local configuration: front panel switches and internal jumpers
DF8000 modules provide dip-switches on the front panels for easy setting of the
configuration options. For special settings, the modules can be opened to access
the jumpers on the internal circuit board. Using a small screwdriver, gently press
inward into the small holes on both top and bottom side of the plastic case so as to
unhook the cover of the module. Care should be taken not to break the plastic fin-
gers by exerting too much pressure. Once unhooked, the rear side of the plastic
cover can be removed and the electronic boards gently extracted from the front
cover by pushing on the front panel. All external wire connections must be re-
moved before opening the module.
Installation on DIN rail
The DF8000 modules can be easily attached to the DIN rail by simply hooking it on
the top side of the rail and pressing it in on the opposite side. By pulling downward
the orange-coloured tab located at the rear bottom of the module, the module itself
can be detached. Before removing the module, the flat cable of the I
as the power supply cables, should be disconnected with care.
