Quick Reference 1 Unlocking the fold-down operating panel After the operating panel has been un- locked it is possible to insert or remove the KeyCard or a CD. Press 1 to unlock the panel, it will fold down forwards. The operating panel cannot be removed and must not be used as a storage shelf.

KeyCard theft protection system This car radio comes equipped with one KeyCard, but it can also be operated with a second card. If you have lost your KeyCard or if it was damaged, you can buy a replacement Key- Card from your specialised dealer. Traffic Memo (TIM) This set is equipped with a digital voice memory, making it possible to automatical- ly record up to four traffic messages lasting a maximum of four minutes. Depending on the length of the new mes- sage, the oldest messages are automatically deleted.

Clock - Time This car audio system is equipped with a built-in clock which automatically takes ad- vantage of RDS to ensure highly accurate time-keeping (hours, minutes). For the clock to function properly with RDS, an RDS station with the CT function (CT - clock time) must be received.
Setting the equaliser The acoustic characteristics of the car inte- rior affect the quality of the sound repro- duced in your vehicle to a much greater ex- tent than the speakers. Position, installation and the rear volumes of, for example, the door or rear window shelf all play an important role.

DSC programming This car audio system has been equipped with DSC (Direct Software Control) to allow you to customise certain programmable, basic settings to suit your personal needs and preferences and then store them. The basic settings for this audio equipment were made at the factory.

DSC programming DLAY (Delay) If an amplifier has been connected to the system, this setting can prevent the annoy- ing power-on pop noise. Use the delay func- tion to switch on the amplifier with a slight delay. “Delay 1” = 250 ms to “Delay 9” = 2.25 sec. delayed power-on.
DSC programming CLK (Clock) Use this menu to adjust the clock settings. The time is set automatically when the au- dio system is tuned into an RDS station with the “CT” (clocktime) function. If this signal is not available, it is possible to adjust the clock with “SET”.
