REPAIR ANALYSIS PROCEDURES
2.2 FUSE BLOWN
1. Replace fuse F1 or repair connection. Connect power and turn power on.
Observe the Fuse, the fuse is blown.
YES
NO
Return to the initial checks and continue.
2. Turn power off. Replace fuse. Disconnect transformer input plug from filter board
(seefigure 2-1). Turn poweron.
Observethe Fuse,the ifuse is blown.
YES
NO
Turn power off. Connect transformer input plug to the filter board.
Disconnect the transformer output plug (see Figure 2-2) from the main board.
Turn power on.
Observe the Fuse, the fuse is blown.
YES
NO
Turn power off. Disconnect all plugsfrom the main board. Connect
transformer output plug to the mam board. Turn power on.
Observe the Fuse, the fuse is blown.
YES
NO
Replace the transformer and the fuse (Procedure 4.3).
Return to the initial checkout and continue.
Replace filter board (Procedure 4.4).
Return to the initial checks and continue.

Turn power off. Disconnect print head from printer mechanism (Procedure
4.8). Connect printer mechanism to the main board. Turn power on.
Observe the Fuse, the fuse is blown.

Turn power off. Connect print head. Turn power on.
Observe the Fuse, the fuse is blown.

Turn power off. Connect one of the disconnected plugs.
Turn power on.
Observe the Fuse, the fuse is blown.

Turn power off Repeat last step with each
disconnected plug, one at a time, turning
power on after each plug is connected.
Replace last connected sub-assembly. Replace fuse.
Return to the initial checks and continue
