3. FOR YOUR SAFETY

this manual. It is essential that you read these instructions carefully before you attempt to operate this unit.

The safety instructions described in this chapter are for the general issues of the combine harvester. These instructions
are described in other chapters in the same way.
SAFETY TIPS
•
Thoroughly read the decals on the combine harvester
as well as this manual before the operation.
3.1 CHECK BEFORE OPERATION
3.1.1 PREPARATION AND INSPECTION
•
Apply the parking brake on safe and level ground and
stop the engine.
•
If a safety label on the combine harvester is damaged
or is illegible for some reasons, replace it with a new
one.
•
Keep the area around the engine, battery and fuel
tank clean.
•
Check the battery cables, electric wiring and fuel hose.
•
Before adding engine oil or checking the coolant level,
the engine should be cooled down.
•
Before refueling, stop the engine and keep any fl am-
mable items from the combine harvester.
•
Check the tightness of each system.
•
Check the proper operation of the brake, shift lever
and parking brake.
•
Check if the range shift lever and other levers' free
play is intact and they are not excessively swayed.
•
Check the proper operation of the safety parts, such
as turn signal lights.
•
Do not modify the combine harvester.
•
Dispose used oil only in a properly equipped autho-
rized site for used oil disposal.

3.1.2 STARTING THE ENGINE
•
Install all covers and safety frame.
•
Don't let others come near the combine harvester.
•
Move the main shift and range shift levers into the
neutral position and depress the brake pedal before
starting the engine.
•
When starting the engine in an enclosed space, venti-
late the area by opening doors or windows.
