Power Requirements

The TPA721 MSOP audio power amplifier evaluation module can operate
from any voltage between approximately 2.5 V and 5.5 V; however, the
TPA721 amplifier IC on the module is characterized for operation at 3.3 V and
5 V. For best performance (highest output power with lowest distortion), the
module should be operated at approximately 5 V, unless there is a specific
reason for operating it from a lower voltage.
The TI plug-n-play audio amplifier evaluation platform with a voltage regulator
EVM installed on it can provide a regulated V
unregulated V
including an onboard 9 -V battery. Or, an external regulated power source can
be used to supply V
evaluation modules installed on it.
The platform is equipped with overvoltage and reverse-polarity supply voltage
input protection in the form of fused crowbar circuits.
