7 - MAINTENANCE

7.1.3 Replacing the hook rollers

Remove the worn rollers (27, Fig. I) with a screwdriver and discard. Fit the new rollers to the pins (25) of the hook (22).

7.1.4 Cleaning

Clean the machine periodically with a cloth, using compressed air.
Make certain the handles (5, Fig. A) and (17, Fig. D) are kept clean, free of oil and fuel.

7.1.5 Storage

Follow all the maintenance instructions described previously.
Clean the machine thoroughly.
Drain the fuel from the tank (14, Fig. C) and refit the filler cap (15).
Remove the spark plug, and pour a little oil into the cylinder via the hole (33, Fig. Q); turn the crankshaft over a few times
using the recoil handle (2, Fig. A) so as to spread the oil, then refit the plug (37).
Store the machine in a dry place, preferably not in direct contact with the floor, and away from heat sources.

Any maintenance operations not covered on the pages of this publication must be entrusted to an authorized service
centre.
To guarantee constant and troublefree operation of the machine, use only Emak original replacement parts.

7.2 Major servicing

7.2.1 General

Before carrying out any maintenance:
Set the lockout switch (10, Fig. C) to the STOP position.
Wear protective gloves.
WARNING!
Major servicing and repair operations must be entrusted to an authorized service centre.

7.3 Periodic maintenance operations

Clean cylinder fins (L)
Clean spark plug (37, Fig. T)
Top-up oil
Check air filter (28, Fig. M).
General clean
Replace air filter
Replace fuel filter (S)

- DESTRUCTION AND DISPOSAL OF COMPONENTS

8.1 General
The machine must be destroyed at the end of its useful life.
The various component parts must be suitably isolated one from another to allow selective disposal according to the material
(metal, plastic, etc.), and in compliance with statutory regulations in the country of use.
