Warning!
To avoid harms to you or damages to the meter from electric shock, please do
not attempt to measure voltages higher than 600 V AC (alternating current)
although readings may be obtained. This can lead to damage of the unit or to
electric shocks with serious health problems. Be extremely careful when
measuring high voltages!

3. Functional Overview

This section describes the features, controls and displays of the multimeter.
(1) Display
3 ¾ digit LCD, with a max. reading of 3.999
(2) RANGE Key
This key can be used to switch the meter between the autorange mode and
the manual range mode.
After switching on, the meter defaults to autorange mode in measurement
functions which offer both autorange and manual range mode. When the
meter is in autorange mode, the AUTO icon (C) is displayed.
Proceed as follows to enter the manual range mode:
1. Press the RANGE key (2). The AUTO icon disappears.
2. Each press of the RANGE key increases the range. When the highest
range is reached, the meter changes to the lowest range.
3. Press and hold the RANGE key for approx. 2 seconds to exit the manual
range mode. The meter returns to the autorange mode.
Note: The manual range mode is not available in all measuring modes.
(3) Function Key FUNC
This key can be use to switch the meter between the DC and AC functions or
between diode and continuity functions.
(4) HOLD Key
It can be used to hold the current reading on the display (display
the HOLD key again to continue the current measurement.
(5) Rotary Function / Range Switch
It can be used to select the desired function and range as well as to turn on
and off the meter. If you do not use the meter, set this switch to "OFF".
