AREAS OF USE
This model is a versatile professional amplifier that can drive a mixed assortment of 70/100/110/
120 Volt and traditional 4-8 Ohm speakers.
It is ideal for institutions where a large number of distantly located speakers are used (e.g., offices,
schools, medical centers, public institutions etc.). Because the model supports six different zones,
the speakers in various rooms or sections can be controlled separately. In addition, the device can
be used to create an efficient audio system when used together with traditional speakers in theaters
or concert venues.
The amplifier also includes a 6-channel built-in mixer and treble/bass control. When the microphone
is in use it automatically fades out music to a pre-set level, and fades it back when the speaker
is finished talking. (Available for the MIC 2 input only.) The sound effect that can be triggered by
PROMPT button makes it more efficient to make announcements.
The device can be used to drive up to 25-30 pcs 70/100/110/120 Volt speakers with a transformer,
at the same time (eg. WAS, CES series). The audio output can be used to connect an external
amplifier, which allows the creation of arbitrarily large audio systems.
CONNECTING THE SPEAKERS
The amplifier can be used to drive an assortment of speakers with different parameters. This means
that 70-120 Volt speakers and traditional speaker boxes can be used at the same time. The maxi-
mum available power is distributed among the speakers; you need to consider this when choosing
the number and type of speakers to use. When connecting the speakers, always make sure that
there are no short circuits and that every speaker is connected with the right polarity. Always ask
a professional to connect speakers and the amplifier must be powered off. The wires must not
touch each other or touch the case with bare ends! Proceed to the visible markings beside the
back connectors!
• Be sure to connect it properly to the correct polarity, without a short-circuit. Before switching on,
check the correct connection.
• Watch out when connecting the 70-120 Volt plugs! Do not touch them during operation! The
back cover of the appliance should not be accessible during operation! CAUTION! RISK
TO LIFE!
SETTING THE VOLUME
There are several ways to set the desired volume. The BT / FM / MP3 audio sources of the
multimedia unit can be adjusted by pressing the PREV / NEXT buttons. The current level is displayed
from 0 to 15. Regardless of this, the LINE3 / MP3 knob also controls this multimedia signal level at
the same time as the LINE3 rear inputs.
If you have limited the volume by using the PREV / NEXT pushbuttons, you can not increase the
volume up to a certain level with the rotating knob, and vice versa.
It is advisable to keep both controllers at the level where they are still providing the required volume.
The unreasonably high volume setting can cause noise and distortion to increase in some sources.
LINE1...LINE3: Volume control of the sources connected to the rear inputs
MIC1...MIC2: For microphones connected to the back and front microphone inputs
SP1...SP6 rotary switches: controls the volume of 100-120V speakers connected to up to 6 groups
(eg 6 rooms).
THE MAXIMUM VOLUME
All speakers have to be broken in prior to intended use. The first 30-50 hours of operation can only
be operated at 50% load! During this time, do not increase the volume up near the load capacity!
At higher volume levels - in some cases - there may be distorted, low-quality sound. This can be
caused by the too large input signal. If you hear a tense sound, immediately lower it and switch it off if
necessary. Connecting the wrong signal-level devices can easily cause over-control. The maximum
volume of the system is that which can be heard in good quality without distortion.
• When turning the volume up beyond this point, output power will not increase, while the distortion
level will grow! This is very harmful to the speakers and may lead to faults!
• The amplifier is provided with short-circuit, overload and overheating protection. If this is activated,
turn it off and then turn it back on after cooling.
SELECTING THE FUNCTIONS
Set a low volume level with the LINE3 / MP3 controller and check with pressing and holding the
NEXT button to keep the volume of the multimedia unit low. When the unit is switched on, the ON
LED lights up in red and the cooling fan on the back is operating. There will be a WELCOME
message on the display for a short time, followed by „Can not find device", which indicates that
there is no USB / SD device connected. After pressing MODE repeatedly, the following functions
alternates: FM radio - wireless BT connection - USB source - SD source MP3 / WMA player.
The display shows the current function, mode, and related information. For example the number of
stored radio programs, the currently selected radio program, the radio scale, the current frequency,
the track number, length, time, song information ... and in the bottom line, the control meter.
• After switching the function or turning the device off, it remembers the previous default settings.
FM RADIO
To receive radio programs, you need to connect an external antenna (not supplied). Attach a
80-100 cm long insulated wire, stripped on its end FM ANT screw on the back. Place it in vertical
position above the unit, if this is possible.
Press the PLAY button to locate and store radio stations. At the 87-108MHz graphical scale, an arrow
moves to the right to indicate the process. Meanwhile, the actual reception frequency (eg 90.0MHz)
is displayed. The top line of the display shows the number of transmitters already found in „CH 00/01
... 00/02 ... 00/03 ..." format. At the end of the process, it switches to the radio station that was first
found and stored. For example, 01/20 is the first radio station from the found 20.
PLAY: auto-station search and storage, press again to quit
PREV / NEXT: briefly press to switch to the next stored radio station
• Keep the antenna cable away from metal objects!
• Pressing the PREV and NEXT button controls the volume of the radio!
• Search stops when it detects a variable signal strength - this does not always mean finding a
radio program.
• The reception of the radio depends to a great extent on the location of use and the current reception
conditions.
WIRELESS BT CONNECTION
In addition to wired inputs, external devices can be connected via wireless BT connection. For
example, a mobile phone, tablet, computer or smart TV with BT protocol. Press the MODE button
to select BT mode. The display briefly shows „BT NOT LINK" and then „CONNECTING". In the
directions for use of the device to be paired, find the nearby BT devices, including this amplifier.
Connect the two devices together. In case of success, the external device ID will be displayed on the
display and the desired program will be heard after a short beep from the speakers.
PLAY: playback on the mobile player's music player, press again to pause
PREV / NEXT: briefly press to switch to the previous or next track
• Pressing the PREV and NEXT button controls the volume level.
• Before starting the process, disconnect any BT devices connected to your mobile device.
• To find BT a connection, it takes approx. 30 seconds. You have this time to set up your mobile
device properly. Then „BT NOT LINK" is displayed instead of „CONNECTING" in the display. If
necessary, exit and return to BT Mode (MODE) to repeat the pairing.
• A device can be paired wirelessly with only one BT device at a time.
• When turned on, it will automatically re-connect to the previously paired and properly connected
device if it is switched on nearby.
• If the wireless connection is lost, turn the BT mode on and off again if necessary, to enable pairing
mode again.
• When a phone call is received on the connected mobile phone while listening to music, the music
playback is paused. After the conversation, restart playback on the phone.
• The actual range depends on the other device and the ambient conditions. (eg. walls, human
bodies, other electrical devices, movement ...)
• Abnormal operation, noise can be caused by nearby radio equipment, this does not indicate a
malfunction of the device!
• Abnormal operation may be caused by the specific features of the external device, which does not
indicate any defects in the device. Occasionally, the BT function may be limited due to the specific
features of the external device.
USB/SD - MP3/WMA PLAYBACK
If no USB or SD device is inserted, the display will show „Can not find device" - if you previously
have selected the MP3 / WMA playback mode with the MODE button. Irrespective of the current
mode, playback starts when the external device is inserted. During playback, detailed information is
displayed: the total number of songs, the currently played song, the current song's playing time and
the time remaining for the song, audio format and sampling frequency, playback and repeat modes ...
PLAY: playback, press it again to pause, and then resume playback
PREV / NEXT: briefly press to switch to the previous or next track
STOP: the playback will be canceled and the playlist (MENU) will be displayed, press again to start
playback
RPT: press repeatedly to set the playback (repeat) mode. The arrow symbol in the upper left corner
of the display and the character below (1, F, N, R, I, A) refer to the current mode. For example, repeat
the current song, repeat all songs, randomly play, introducing the song: play 10 seconds from the
beginning of each song, play all songs
