Any other use, or any use which exceeds
this use, is regarded as improper and may
lead to material damage or personal injury
and the voiding of warranty.
In particular, use of the aquarium is
improper if:
• You independently carry out conversions
or repair work
• You do not use the aquarium only
indoors.
Tetra GmbH accepts no liability for damage
which arises as a result of improper use.
Avoiding electric shocks
• In the following situations, make sure that
all electrical devices which are used with
the aquarium are disconnected from the
mains:
− Each time before reaching into the
water
− Each time before changing the water
− Prior to each cleaning or maintenance
measure.
• Do not allow children or persons requiring
supervision to handle the aquarium
unattended. These persons cannot
always assess possible hazards correctly.
• Use only earthed 230 V ~ 50 Hz sockets
for the current supply.
• Make sure that your mains power supply
is protected via a universal fault current
circuit breaker (FI circuit breaker).
• The mains plug must be freely accessible
so that the aquarium can be easily and
quickly disconnected from the mains
power supply in an emergency.
• In the event of malfunctions or if the
device is not used for a long period of
time, remove the mains plug from the
socket. Pull only on the mains plug.

• Unwind the mains power cable
completely. Do not kink or crush the
mains power cable.
• Do not touch the mains power cable or
mains plug with moist hands.
• Do not use the aquarium if the mains
power cable or the illumination is
damaged.
Never repair electrical
components yourself
• Electrical work must only be carried out
by the manufacturer's customer service
or qualified specialist electricians.
Otherwise, you endanger yourself and
others.
Avoiding the risk of
suffocation
• Do not allow children to play with
packaging films.
Avoiding damage
• Never transport the aquarium when it is
filled.
• Only clean the aquarium with soft cloths
or sponges.
• For cleaning purposes, use clean water
or special cleaning products for aquaria.
Installing the device securely
• Install the aquarium on a level, waterproof
and stable surface.
• The load-bearing capability of the
installation location must be greater than
the weight of the aquarium when full.
