Fault
Appliance does not work.
Appliance suddenly stops va-
cuuming.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Possible cause
"Plug is not inserted or theap-
pliance is not switched on."
Power outlet does not carry
any power.
Power cord is damaged.
"Overheat protection has trip-
ped(possibly due to clogged
suction channels, dirty filters,
etc.)"
Dust bag is full.
Filter is dirty or clogged.
Nozzle, telescopic suction
tube or suction hose are clog-
ged up.
Suction regulator is open.
"The power setting does not
suitthe flooring."
The attached nozzle does not
fit the flooring.
"The "carpet/hard floor"
switch is in the wrong position
for theparticular type of floor."
Sucked-in particles have be-
come jammed.
Solution
Insert the plug into a mains
socket and switch on the ap-
pliance.
Test the appliance at another
socket which you are sure
carries current.
Have the power cord repla-
ced by an authorised Fakir
service centre.
Switch off and unplug the ap-
pliance. Eliminate the cause
of overheating (e.g. clogged
suction channels, dirty filters,
etc.). Wait 30 minutes and let
the appliance cool down.
Then switch on the appliance
again.
Change dust bag.
Clean or change the corre-
sponding filter.
Eliminate clogging. If neces-
sary, use a wooden stick (e.g.
a broomstick) to do this.
Close suction regulator.
Set the power to the setting
suggested for the flooring.
Attach the correct nozzle.
Set the "carpet/hard floor"
switch to the correct position
for the type of floor.
Remove particles. If neces-
sary, use a long wooden stick
(e.g. a broomstick).
