Adjusting the
Service/Parking Brake
If the service/parking brake slips when operated,
adjust the cable as follows:
1.
Turn off the machine and disconnect the battery
pack.
2.
Move the service/parking brake lever to the
position.
3.
Remove the console cover.
4.
To increase the cable tension, loosen the upper
cable jam nut and tighten the lower cable jam
nut
(Figure
45) until a force of 156 N (35 lb)
applied to the brake lever handle is required to
release the parking-brake latch.
Important:
Do not over adjust or the brake
band may drag.

Belt Maintenance

Inspecting the Reel Drive
Belt
Service Interval: Every 1,000 hours
Make sure that the reel drive belt is properly tensioned
to ensure proper operation of the machine and
unnecessary wear.
1.
Turn off the machine and disconnect the battery
pack.
2.
Loosen the flange bolt that secures the belt
cover and remove the belt cover to expose the
belt
(Figure
47).

Adjust the belt tension by doing the following
steps:
