Troubleshooting
This chapter summarises the most common problems you could encounter with the appliance. If
you are unable to solve the problem with the information below, contact the Consumer Care
Centre in your country.
Problem
The suction
power is
insufficient.

Possible cause
The dust container is full.
The filter cylinder is dirty.
The Clean Air HEPA outlet
filter is dirty.
The suction power slide on
the handgrip is open.
Specific types only: the
electronic suction power
control is set to a low
setting.
The nozzle, tube or hose
may be blocked.
Solution
Empty the dust container.
Clean the filter cylinder (see chapter
'Cleaning').
Replace the Clean Air HEPA outlet filter (see
chapter 'Replacing the Clean Air HEPA outlet
filter).
Close the suction power slide.
Set the electronic suction power control to a
higher setting.
Disconnect the blocked-up item and connect
it (as far as possible) the other way around.
Switch on the vacuum cleaner to force the air
through the blocked-up item in opposite
direction.
