OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before the appliance is used for the first time it should be charged for
10hours.
MAINS OPERATION
Connect the plug-in transformer to the appliance socket (fig1a) Page 8.
Connect the plug-in transformer to the power supply (fig1b)
Switch the appliance on using the on/off switch and after use switch off
again.
NOTE: If the appliance does not work in mains operation when the battery
is completely discharged, switch it off and charge the battery for 5 minutes
until the LED charge indicator starts to flash. The appliance should now
work in mains operation.
CHARGING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
Connect the plug-in transformer to the charging stand socket (fig2a). The
appliance can also be connected directly to the plug-in transformer for
charging (fig1a/b). Connect the plug-in transformer to the power supply
(fig2b).
Switch the appliance off.
The LED display will flash during charging. When the appliance is fully
charged the LED indicator will be fully illuminated.
Recommendation: Only recharge the battery when its performance has
deteriorated noticeably or none of the segments are illuminated. This can
lengthen the life of the battery.
It should take around 120 minutes for the battery to charge to full capacity.
NOTE: If the unit does not start charging immediately. It is probably due
to the battery being completely discharged. Leave the unit in the charging
stand after approximately 5-10 minutes the LED indicator will start to flash
to indicate charging is in progress.
CORDLESS OPERATION
When fully charged your appliance will run for a maximum of 120 minutes.
This capacity is reached after approximately 5-10 charging cycles.
When the speed of the appliance audibly begins to reduce the battery has a
remaining capacity of approximately 2-3 minutes and must be recharged.
Once the appliance is fully discharged the appliance
