11. What is the best way for an outside caller to reach a destination extension in the
system?
The system needs to be in Automated Attendant mode, which allows an outside caller to
ring one of its extensions at a time when the call comes in.
The outside caller should press [0, #] to speak to the operator if the caller does not know
the destination extension number. Operator may transfer the call to the destination
extension provided the extension is not busy. When the destination extension is busy, the
operator can give the caller the destination extension number then guide the caller to
leave a message by pressing the VOICE MAIL button on the base unit and then hang up
the line. (Caller will then hear, on his/her phone, an instruction on how to leave a
message for the busy destination extension).
12. What is the maximum number of Mailboxes the system can have?
The amount of Mailboxes is the same amount of cordless handsets registered to the
system. The Maximum number of cordless handsets that can be registered to the system
is eight and the maximum mailboxes is also eight.
13. How do I clear/erase the music I recorded for Music on Hold (MOH)?
To clear/erase the music you recorded, press MENU, scroll to Initial Setting and scroll to
Music on hold. Select Set music on hold and while the music on hold is playing, press
[CLEAR]. The pre-recorded MOH cannot be erased.
14. How do I know which Line is set up for Notify alert?
Notify alert is a special line feature allowing the unit to call a cellular phone/pager when
your mailbox has received an incoming message from an outside caller. You may retrieve
the message from your cellular phone or landline touch-tone telephone. The Line used
for the unit to call your cellular phone/pager is LINE 1 on the base unit.
