7.1. Discharging
To achieve the best possible service life, discharging of more than 70% of the nominal
capacity must be avoided (C
). Discharging of more than 80% of the nominal capacity (C
)
n
n
is deep discharging and is not permitted, as this will significantly decrease the service life of
the battery. Only the discharge state indicators permitted by the battery manufacturer should
be used to record the discharge state. An overview of the open-circuit voltages per cell
(U
) via the discharge level is shown in Fig. 7.1. The system open-circuit voltage is
Open-circuit
calculated as follows:
 U
= n x U
, where n = number of battery cells

Open-circuit
Discharged batteries must be immediately charged and must not be left in a discharged
state. This also applies to partly discharged batteries, otherwise service life will be
significantly reduced. When in a discharged state, the battery may freeze and suffer
irreparable damage.
ATTENTION!
Discharge state indicators with PzS configuration are not suitable for trak | systemizer dynamics
and can cause unwanted deep discharges and damage the system. Discharge state indicators
must be individually configured for trak | systemizer dynamics systems!
