Questions and answers
The gate open itself without trigger at night
The CAME Z Series gate may open by itself at night due to several possible reasons:
1. Automatic Closing Cycle (2-CX) Activation – If the automatic closing function is enabled, any interruption in the safety circuit (e.g., photocells detecting an obstacle) could trigger the gate to reopen.
2. Photocell Interference – External factors like headlights, shadows, or environmental conditions (fog, rain) might cause the photocells to detect a false obstacle, triggering the gate to open.
3. Faulty or Open Safety Contact (2-C1, 2-CX, 1-2) – If a normally closed (NC) contact is opened, the LED will flash, indicating an issue that may cause unexpected movement.
4. Electrical Interference or Power Fluctuations – Voltage drops or fluctuations at night could affect the control board, unintentionally activating the gate.
5. Dip Switch Settings – Incorrect dip switch settings, such as an enabled reopening function during closing (dip 9 OFF), might cause unintended openings if the safety device detects an issue.
6. Remote Control Interference – If a nearby radio signal or another device operates at the same frequency, it might unintentionally trigger the gate.
Checking these factors and ensuring proper configuration, secure wiring, and functional safety devices can help prevent the issue.
