Board (PCB) is aligned with the guide rails. The PCB fits into the guide rails and not the metal base plate. Press in the expansion module firmly until it is completely inserted into the Avaya P330 switch. Gently tighten the two screws on the front panel of the expansion module by turning them clockwise.

The serial port on the front panel is labeled “Console” and has an RJ-45 socket. Insert the RJ-45 plug on the console cable into the Console port of the Avaya X330W-2USP module. Insert the other end into the RJ-45 socket in the supplied DB-9 adapter.
Configure the Module Before you can set up the X330W-2USP module you must power on and set up the Avaya P330 stack as described in the Avaya P330 User’s Guide. You can configure the X330W-2USP module either via its console port or by opening a session to the module from the P330 switch in which the module is installed using the command.

To configure a modem interface: Connect a terminal to the Console port of the X330W-2USP as described in “Connecting the Console Port”. When prompted for a Login Name, enter the default name root and press Enter.
Configuring Loopback Interfaces All CLI commands mentioned in this section are described in the X330WAN User’s Guide. To configure Loopback interfaces: Use the command to enter the Interface interface loopback <loopback number> Loopback mode. For example, typing configures a loopback with a interface loopback 1 Loopback interface number 1.
Configuring the FabricFastEthernet Interface To configure a FabricFastEthernet interface: Use the interface command to enter the FabricFastEthernet <if-number> FabricFastEthernet interface context, where the if-number format is port[:vlan[.ip- interface index]] You do not need to include the ip-interface index if you configure only one IP interface. Use the command to assign an IP address to the interface.
Configuring USP Interfaces All CLI commands mentioned in this section are described in the X330WAN User’s Guide. To configure USP interfaces: Use the command to enter the context of the serial interface serial <if-number> interface you want to configure. If you require Frame Relay encapsulation, continue with step 6. After the interface is created, its default encapsulation is PPP.

Verify that you can communicate with the X330W-2USP using the ping command to the IP address of the X330W-2USP you chose. If there is no response, check the IP address and default gateway of both the X330W-2USP and the station.

X330W-2USP Default Settings The default settings for the X330W-2USP and its ports are determined by its embedded software. These default settings are subject to change. If you wish to change the default parameters, we recommend that you use the CLI. Please refer to the Avaya X330WAN User’s Guide.
