To remove the modem PCA:

I/O Panel

1. Remove the power PCA as described in paragraph 4-4 if you haven't already done so.

2. Lift the modem PGA up out of the bottom case. (The I/O panel may come out with it.)

To remove the ROM connector:

1. Remove the power PCA as described in paragraph 4-4.

2. Remove the two screws holding the strain-relief bar in place.

3. Open the zero-force connector by pulling the collar out, and carefully pull the flex cable out of it.
