Important
• Check if the mains voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds
to your local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
• Avoid contact with water! Do not use this product near or over
water contained in baths, washbasins, sinks, etc. If you use the
appliance in a bathroom, always unplug it after use since the
proximity of water presents a danger, even if the hairdryer has been
switched off.
• Always switch the appliance off before you put it down, even if it is
just for a moment.
• Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
• For additional safety, it is advisable to install a residual current
device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current of max. 30 mA
in the electrical circuit that supplies power to the bathroom. Ask
your installer for advice.
• Never block the air inlet opening.
• This appliance has been equipped with an automatic safety cut-out.
If the appliance becomes overheated, it will switch itself off. If this
happens, unplug the appliance and let it cool down for a few
minutes before you start using it again. Do not forget to check if the
air inlet and outlet openings are not blocked by e.g. fluff or hair
before you start using the hairdryer again. If in doubt, consult your
dealer or a Philips service centre.
• If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged, it may only be
replaced by Philips or an authorised Philips service centre, since
repair requires special tools and/or parts.
• Always have inspection or repair carried out by an authorised
Philips service centre. Unqualified repair can present extreme
hazards to the user.
